SEO Checklist: Apply These Secret Techniques To Improve Seo
If you have read any of my articles before, you already know that I love to use SEO Checklists. Here are the major categories to cover in this article: How To Use This SEO Checklist: Each section of this checklist is dedicated to a specific area of SEO. So, how to use this SEO checklist. We have broken this down into several sections which cover the essentials, keywords, technical SEO, off-page/on-page optimization, content and keywords, and the back-links you need to succeed.
First, we start with the most important part of your SEO plan; keyword research. You want to make sure that you know what people are looking for when they are searching for what you are selling or the service you are offering. This means that you need to find out what people are typing in the search engines in order to find you. There are many tools on the Internet that can help you do this.
Next, we talk about keyword optimization. In order for your site to rank well for those specific keywords, you must rank for as many of them as possible. This is called keyword saturation and it can be a little tricky. What you want to try to do is find the fewest number of searches per month for each of your keywords. Then, you will need to make sure that you have at least one SEO article that targets each of those keywords.
After that, we discuss off-page issues such as building links and getting the site crawled by the major search engines. Most people are unaware that you can actually ignore a site when you're doing an on-site audit. Yes, the search engines list these sites in their results, but not until a month after the site has been submitted to them. So, if you ignore a site for two months, the search engines might not even notice it. However, I would still suggest that you spend at least a day updating any internal links to avoid getting blacklisted.
The next section of this SEO Checklist is about keyword research. After you have done keyword research for your new website, you should also do some internal keyword research as well. This way, you will be able to pinpoint which keywords will produce you the most traffic. For this part, I would recommend hiring a professional to do the research for you since there are so many things to keep in mind.
Next up, we talk about off-page issues such as building inbound links, optimizing your meta tags, and creating content that is informative and interesting. These are actually two different things. On-page is simply writing articles and blog posts with relevant keywords. Off-page is doing all sorts of things to increase your search engine rankings. If you skip this part, you are likely to run into trouble down the line with off-page factors, since they can really hurt your rankings.
Finally, we move on to off-page factors and this is where most people get off. They realize that getting internal links is a great starting point, but they forget to optimize them. This is perfectly fine, but you need to understand that a lot of the most powerful SEO is actually an off-page ranking factor. Internal links can be very powerful in the right circumstances, but unless they come from quality sources, they won't have much of a bearing on your ranking.
One last thing that I want to discuss in SEO Checklist is crawl rate and I will talk more about it in a minute. However, you need to make sure that you build links with authority websites that have high page ranks. This is a great place to start because they will generally give you a decent amount of backlinks as well. However, do not submit any links to directories or to spam blackhat search engines. Make sure that you understand each of these SEO factors and how to apply them to your own websites and rankings.
